McHappy Day thank you
McHappy Day on May 6, 2015 was a huge success, thanks to the support of so many Canadians who visited McDonald's. Across Canada, $4.6 million was raised through the sale of Big Macs, Happy Meals, hot McCafe beverages and special in-restaurant fundraisers. A portion of this amount will be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto.
The funds raised through McHappy Day will support families like the Brents (above), from Barrie. The family is staying at the House while baby Nathan waits for a liver transplant. They enjoyed their outing to McDonald's on May 6.
Many RMHC Toronto staff, volunteers and families hit the road on McHappy Day, collectively visiting 70 McDonald's restaurants across the Greater Toronto Area and Northern Ontario. We were able to meet and thank 40 owner/operators and countless customers and staff for their support. We also took hundreds of "selfies" along the way, many of which you can see in our gallery.
Since McHappy Day was first introduced in 1977, the event has raised more than $46 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada, Ronald McDonald Houses and local children’s charities across Canada.

As you can imagine, we're looking forward to 2016!
